On this page, we see the young Baron Aaron von Hurtzville in action. Hurtzville is a pampered aristocrat from a well-to-do family. He's sort of a young dandy sort. He's got kind of a mean streak though, and he absolutely hates the Affected. He delights in killing them, and to do so, he is studying the craft of Nukeromancy (a family tradition). Hurtzville just does not care at all that using Nukeromancy could leave him deformed and corrupted.
Nukeromancy is the most direct use of the radiation deep within every individual after the apocalypse happened. Basically Nukeromancers just release energy in its purest and most destructive form. Nukeromancy is practiced by mysterious individuals, shunned from society for the deformities that come with their craft. Many Nukeromancers form cults around the atom, and many of them go mad with power over time, and need to be kicked out of Trueborn society (who consider them Affected by this point), or purified by the Church of England.
Nukeromancy is also an indulgence of wealthy hedonists such as Trueborn Lord Henry Wotton, who considers the release of nuclear energy to be an exquisite pleasure for the senses.
Nukeromancers are hated by the Anglican church, which regularly campaigns to make their craft illegal. As a result, Nukeromancers are not often associated with mainstream religion, and are susceptible to unorthodox teachings.
In other cultures, Nukeromancy is more widely accepted. Tribal cultures are especially Nukeromantic, and produce individuals such as Trueborn Queequeg, who uses Nukeromancy in conjunction with idoletry to perform unique Nukeromantic spells.
