| Welcome to another installment of GUEST COMIC WEEK. The week where there are GUEST COMICS by GUEST AUTHORS AND ARTISTS on UNWINDER'S TALL COMICS. Today's guest comic is from Tom Helmuth. You may have heard of him from Unicellular. A comic that is frequently advertised on Tall Comics, and which I've plugged before. I admit, I did not read the full archive until I knew he was going to do this guest comic, but I have read it now, and it was worth my time. This is the best installment. The tone kind of reminds me of Terror Island. One of my all-time favorite webcomics. Anyhow, this strip really distills Unwinder's Tall Comics down to their essence: They're tall. I appreciate the experimental feel here, and how its connection to canonical Tall Comics is basically a little shout-out. It's a good way to distinguish one's self when doing guest comics. |
